On May 20, 2021, Deputy DiFelice , along with Deputy Jamyle Grant responded to 3017 Old Lodge Rd. in reference to a domestic dispute. While on scene deputies were advised of the subject being outside of the residence.  Deputy DiFelice observed the subject at the rear of the residence with a shotgun.  Deputy DiFelice took cover with his firearm drawn, and Deputy Grant took cover near a vehicle with his firearm drawn. Deputies began speaking with the subject in an attempt to get the subject to put down the shotgun. This dialog continued when Deputy Grant asked the subject to calm down and to have another cigarette. The subject began to walk towards the vehicle in the driveway when Deputy Grant transitioned from his firearm to his taser. Deputy Grant was able to deploy his taser while other deputies were able to get the subject in custody. Through the efforts and training of Deputy Grant and Deputy DiFelice, they were able to control the situation, and resolve it with less lethal force.
